Editorial Policy: How We Create Astrology Content
Astrology touches personal decisions. We hold ourselves to high editorial standards so you can trust what you read on Celestia.
Our Standards
Every piece of content on Celestia is guided by three principles:
- Accuracy. Astrological calculations are based on verified astronomical data. Interpretations draw from established astrological traditions and are reviewed by experienced practitioners.
- Fairness. We present astrology as a tool for self-reflection, never as deterministic prediction. We avoid fear-mongering, doom-scrolling language, and fatalistic framing.
- Transparency. We are open about how our content is created, what tools we use, and where our data comes from. This page is part of that commitment.
How We Create Content
Our content pipeline combines AI-assisted writing with human expert review. Initial drafts are generated with the help of AI language models, then thoroughly reviewed and edited by our lead astrologer, Alina Smith, who brings over 15 years of experience in Western and Psychological astrology.
All astrological calculations—planetary positions, house cusps, aspects, and transits—are computed using the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris, the same dataset used by professional astronomers. This ensures mathematical precision to arc-second accuracy.
Interpretive content is grounded in Hellenistic, Medieval, and modern psychological astrological traditions. We never publish horoscopes or readings that rely on vague, generic statements.
AI Disclosure
We use AI to assist with content drafting, including zodiac sign profiles, compatibility analyses, and educational articles. AI helps us scale our content library while maintaining consistency in tone and structure.
All astrological interpretations are reviewed and edited by professional astrologers before publication. The AI does not make astrological judgments on its own—it assists with language, not with the astrology itself.
Our astrological calculations are deterministic and mathematically verified. They are not AI-generated; they are computed from ephemeris data using established astronomical formulas.
Data Sources
We rely on the following verified data sources for our calculations and content:
Review Process
Every piece of content is reviewed by our astrology team before publication. The review process includes:
- Astrological accuracy check — Verifying that planetary placements, aspects, and interpretations are correct and consistent with established traditions.
- Tone and framing review — Ensuring content is constructive, empowering, and free of fear-based language.
- Factual verification — Cross-referencing astronomical data, celebrity birth information, and historical claims.
Corrections
We strive for accuracy, but we are human (and our AI assistants are, well, not). If you spot an error—whether it is a wrong planetary position, an incorrect birth date, or a misleading interpretation—please let us know.
Email us at connect@hicelestia.com with the page URL and a description of the error. We commit to reviewing corrections within 48 hours and updating the content if needed.
Content Updates
We review and update our content on a quarterly basis. This includes refreshing horoscope and transit content for current planetary positions, updating celebrity profiles with newly verified birth data, and revising compatibility guides based on reader feedback and new astrological research.
Major updates are noted with a “Last Updated” date on the relevant pages.
